3 fugitives from Zamboanga del Norte jail recaptured

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines  - Security forces captured three high risk prisoners that bolted from the provincial Jail in Zamboanga del Norte last week, according to the police Monday.

Police Senior Inspector Joseph Ortega, spokesman of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO), identified the captured fugitives as Antonio Tuagi, Danford Duhaylungsod both charged for the crime of murder,  and Brian Nobresala charged for the crime of rape.

Ortega said the fugitives were tracked down in sitio Lumbia, Barangay Mate, Manukan town following information from the  elements of the Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN).

He said the personnel of the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Jail immediately launched an operation that led to the arrest of the fugitives.

The captured fugitives were brought back to the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Jail in Barangay Don Jose Aguirre where they escaped and eluded the authorities for three days. - Roel  Pareño
