MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4.2 earthquake jolted North Cotabato Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
In its report, the Phivolcs said that the tremor, which was tectonic in origin, was traced around 9:18 a.m. at 21 kilometers northeast of Carmen, North Cotabato.
The state-run Phivolcs also reported that Intensity 2 was felt in Carmen town.
The Phivolcs said it expects no aftershocks and damage to property in the affected area.
