Indian student yields 223 tablets of ecstasy in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents nabbed an Indian student in Manila during a sting operation, seizing over P330,000 worth of the designer drugs ecstasy, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Tuesday.

The PDEA said operatives nabbed Prabhjot Gill, 18, at 1509 East Tower, One Archers Place, Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila around 2 p.m. last March 24.

Authorities seized from Gill a total of 223 ecstasy tablets, various vials of unknown substance and the P1,000 buy-bust money.

Drug charges are now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect.
