Man charged for rape of 5 daughters
BUGALLON, Pangasinan, Philippines – Authorities on Friday filed charges of rape and acts of lasciviousness against a village watchman for allegedly molesting his five daughters.
The charges against Teofilo de Sola, 47, was filed before the office of the provincial prosecutor in Lingayen.
Police said a teacher of De Sola’s 16-year-old daughter noticed the girl’s frequent vomiting and her bulging belly.
The girl reportedly left home in November last year and lived with her teacher to escape the abuse.
After filing a complaint with the police, the victim found out that her three younger sisters aged 13, 11 and nine, were also sexually abused by their father.
Case investigator Police Officer 2 Melanie Quezada told The STAR that the victims’ elder sister, who is now 20 years old, also claimed she too was molested by the suspect.
The victims’ mother, who works as a househelp in Manila, filed the case against her husband.
The four children were placed under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Dagupan City.
