1 of Binay's convoy vehicles falls off ravine in Ifugao; 4 hurt
MANILA, Philippines - Four people were injured after a vehicle in Vice President Jejomar Binay's convoy fell off a ravine in Banaue, Ifugao on Friday afternoon.
The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group identified the injured victims as Sgts. Danilo Tamo, Alexander Sicat, Corporal Alexander Solis and VIP photographer Ramon Campita.
They were brought to the Good News Clinic in th province for medical treatment. Campita was still unconscious due to his injuries, the report said.
Police said that the security marshall vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner driven by Tamo, was traversing Barangay Mahhung when it plunged into a 15-meter deep ravine. The incident happened shortly after 1 p.m.
The vehicle then landed on a creek, the police reported.
