MANILA, Philippines — Embattled television host Vhong Navarro filed a perjury case against alleged victim "Roxanne" to counter her rape complaints against him.

Navarro filed the case Thursday before the Pasig City Regional Trial Court.

In his counter affidavit, Navarro maintained that he was not with Roxanne during the incident on April 24, 2010.

He also carried statements of four of his friends who claim that they were spending time together in Cavite on the date.

Navarro also filed a perjury case before the Manila City Prosecutor's Office against businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo in connection with their group's assault on him on January 22.

"On three separate occasions, respondent Cornejo executed and swore to ... a complaint affidavit containing false accusations against me for rape," Navarro wrote in his sworn affidavit.

Included in the perjury charges are Lee's sister Bernice, and his friends JP Calma and Zimmer Rance who mauled Navarro in Cornejo's condominium unit in Taguig City. - with Aie Balagtas See
