Police rescue abducted boy in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines - Police rescued a seven year old boy who was kidnapped Feb. 10 in Cavite, arresting  three of his alleged captors during a drug buy bust operation.

Naic municipal police said the victim resides in  Buenavista 3, General Trias, Cavite.

Based on reports, the boy was playing with his friends last Feb. 10 and then taken to an unknown place.

The kidnapping incident was referred by  the Gen. Trias police together with the victim's family to the Anti- Kidnapping Group at the Philippine National Police in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Feb. 11.

Police managed to rescue the victim after one of the three suspected drug pushers, Salvacion Abagon, 42, reportedly confessed during interrogation that she and her two companions Julius Abago, 33; and Jason Angeles, 39; were responsible for the kidnapping of the boy.

The three were arrested by authorities during a sting operation in Brgy. Ibayo Estacion, Naic, Cavite, days after the victim's abduction .

On the night of Feb. 24, authorities conducted a follow up operation and recovered the boy at the suspects' lair at Tramo, Ibayo Estacion, Naic, Cavite.

The suspects, who are now in the custody of Naic police, are facing violation of Republic Act 9165 and kidnapping charges before the court.
