New CCTV video shows Deniece, Cedric more than friends

MANILA, Philippines - A new surveillance video from Forbeswood Heights shows that businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo could have been in a more affectionate relationship than was previously believed.

The recording from security cameras in the elevator of the condominium building was taken early morning on January 23, right after the group assaulted television host Vhong Navarro in Cornejo's unit.

The group, including Lee's sister Berniece and two of their friends, was returning from the police station where they reported the incident and claimed that they caught Navarro attempting to abuse the model.

The video, broadcasted over ABS-CBN's Bandila Thursday night, shows the group entering the elevator when Lee gives Deniece a peck on both sides of her neck.

The recording bears a timestamp of 1:30 a.m. on January 23, but the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clarified that the recordings are 40 minutes late.

The clip is part of the new batch of videos which the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has recently acquired. This includes a recording from January 17 when Navarro and Cornejo first entered the building together.

Both the camps of Lee and Navarro are expected to appear in a preliminary hearing on the case on Friday.

The NBI has filed serious illegal detention, serious physical injury and four other charges against Lee and companions.

Cornejo, meanwhile, filed a rape complaint against Navarro before the Taguig Prosecutor's Office.
