Cagayan cop’s decomposing body found

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Authorities are investigating the case of a policeman whose decomposing body was found in a public cemetery in Barangay Ugac Sur here on Monday.

Police said PO3 Efren Addul, 33, assigned with the Cagayan police office at Camp Tirso Gador here, had been missing since Feb. 5.

Superintendent Rexmel Reyes, chief investigator of the Cagayan police, told The STAR that they initially noted an apparent stab wound in Addul’s body but were awaiting further findings by forensic experts to determine the other possible causes of death of the policeman.

Reyes said Addul was in civilian clothes.
