Decomposing body found inside car in Antipolo

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The decomposing body of a man was found inside an abandoned vehicle in Antipolo City on Wednesday, authorities said.

The body of Noel Tecson, 55, was found inside a Nissan pick-up with license plate NIF 770 at a dimly lighted area along Sumulong Highway in Barangay Masinag.

Senior Inspector Perlito Tuayon, police community precinct commander in Barangay Masinag, said a green cloth covered Tecson’s head and his hands were tied.

A closer inspection showed that Tecson was hacked in the head, he said.

According to Tuayon, the abandoned vehicle attracted the attention of residents Wednesday night due to a foul smell emanating from it.

The residents immediately called the attention of the police after finding Tecson’s body.

Tuayon said Tecson could have been killed elsewhere  and his body just dumped in Barangay Masinag apparently to throw off police investigators.

He said residents had noticed the abandoned vehicle for several days but found nothing unusual about it until the foul smell started emanating from it.

Tecson was identified through the driver’s license in his wallet.

Police also recovered several sacks of cables in the Nissan pick-up.

Senior Superintendent Rolando Anduyan, Rizal police director, has ordered a deeper probe on Tecson’s death.
