Tawi-Tawi gives free review classes to Tausug, Samah residents

COTABATO CITY, Philippines -- Tawi-Tawi officials offered free review classes for the police entrance exams to help Tausog and Samah residents who to become members of the country's police force.

Tawi-Tawi, a component province of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, is considered as ARMM’s most peaceful.

Tawi-Tawi Rep. Ruby Sahali, in a press statement, said that besides the police entrance examination review, her office and the provincial government of Tawi-Tawi will also facilitate review lessons for members of the local police planning to take promotion tests to qualify them for higher ranks.

Sahali said the project is a joint initiative of her office and Gov. Nurbert Sahali's.

The siblings Rep. Sahali and Gov. Sahali, and Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Mangudadatu, pioneered in the autonomous region the facilitation of free civil service, and teachers’ board exams for their constituents.

Rep. Sahali said the series of free review for entrance exams for aspirant-policemen and policewomen, and for the teachers’ licensure exams, will be held between March 8, 2014, and June 27, 2014.

The civil service eligibility exams review will be facilitated by the Tawi-Tawi provincial government through a series of classes from July to October 2014, according to a schedule matrix emailed by Rep. Sahali.
