P’sinan group in US extends free healthcare services

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – More than 4,000 residents in four towns and one city in Pangasinan received free healthcare services from the Pangasinan Association-United States of America (PAUSA) Inc. during a series of medical and dental missions from Jan. 13 to 17.

Now on its second year, the project, in partnership with the provincial government led by Gov. Amado Espino Jr. and local government units, has been PAUSA’s way of extending love and care and sharing blessings to fellow Pangasinenses.

PAUSA president Bayani Lapena, on behalf of the 19 other officers of the association, said they came to help Pangasinenses in the best way they could.

For his part, Espino said, “This makes us feel so proud that you still remember your roots, you remember your province.”

PAUSA founder Nida Cortez said their members came from the grassroots, thus they wanted “to bring their projects directly to the rural areas and barangays to help people who are in most need of healthcare services.”

Benefiting from the project were Mabini town (642); Barangay Pugaro in Manaoag (790); Barangay Bateng-Talogtog in Mangaldan (789); Bugallon (1,000); and Barangays Bonuan Binloc (442) and Mangin, Tebeng (616) in Dagupan City.
