MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation raided on Wednesday a posh condominium in Taguig City, arresting two Filipino-Canadians and seizing millions of pesos worth of illegal drugs in the area believed to be used as a drug laboratory.
Reports said that members of the NBI-Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force barged into the unit on the third floor of The Luxe Residences on the corner of 28th and 4th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Authorities suspect that the units are being rented by a Canadian-Mexican-Iranian drug cartel, reports added.
The NBI team confiscated ecstasy, shabu and cocaine at the kitchen-type drug laboratory, reports said.
Reports said that the NBI identified the Independent Soldier drug cartel whose leader had extended its operation in Greece, United States, Australia and Asia.
As of posting time, authorities are still conducting an inventory of the seized illegal drugs in Taguig.
