CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The alleged gunmen in the killing of a radio commentator and his driver in San Pablo City, Laguna last year were arrested in separate operation in Quezon province, authorities said yesterday.
Emmanuel Peñalosa, 28, was arrested on Friday by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Quezon and Laguna police, according to Senior Superintendent Felipe Natividad, regional director of the CIDG-4A.
The second suspect, identified as Mario Aquilla, was arrested yesterday, said CIDG director Chief Superintendent Benjamin Magalong.
Natividad said Peñalosa was tagged as the principal suspect in the killing of Edgardo Adajar, who was also a councilor of San Pablo, and his driver Leonardo Ronaldo in January last year. – Ed Amoroso, Cecille Suerte Felipe
