Bulacan now insurgency free

CAMP OLIVAS, Philippines – The province of Bulacan has been “cleared of communist terrorists affectation and influence.”

A memorandum of agreement was signed among Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Alvarado, Col. Henry Sabarre, commander of the 703rd Infantry Brigade (IB) and Bulacan police director Senior Superintendent Joel Orduna, which declared Bulacan as “peaceful and ready for further development.”

Northern Luzon Command commander Lt. Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. cited decreased activities by  communist rebels and improved and peace and order situation in the province.
