MANILA, Philippines - Lawyer Raymond Fortun said he was the likely target of the men on motorcycle who shot his wife, Caroline, in front of their home in Las Piñas Thursday night.
Wala pong gustong manakit sa kanya," Fortun said in a radio interview over dzMM late Thursday.

Fortun, who has served as counsel for many high-profile cases, said his wife was coming home after serving at Mass that night when she spotted some men who seemed to be waiting for the family's car. Fortun, who flew in from Iloilo, was not present during the incident.
The incident occurred a little past 8:00 p.m..
Caroline is in stable condition after she was rushed to the Perpetual Help Medical Center by her husband.
The suspects escaped on-board the vehicle.
