P100K worth of properties lost in warehouse fire

MANILA, Philippines - A fire of still unknown origin struck a warehouse in Barangay San Martin in Parañaque City early Thursday and left at least P100,000 in damages.

According to a report by arson investigator Senior Fire Officer 4 Teodorico Gatchalian of the Parañaque City Fire Department, the blaze started at about 2:15 a.m. and quickly reached the third alarm at 2:25 a.m.

Responding firefighters managed to control the fire at 3 a.m. and extinguished it at 3:05 a.m.

Gatchalian said the timely arrival of firefighters saved the warehouse from being completely gutted. 

There were no other structures damaged in the fire and there were no reported deaths or injuries, the Parañaque Fire Department said.
