MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook some parts of Negros Occidental early dawn on Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The Phivolcs said the tremor, which was tectonic in origin and was traced 24 kilometers southwest of Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, happened around 3:12 a.m.
The quake was felt in Hinoba-an town with Intensity 3 and Intensity 2 in Sipalay City, the Phivolcs said.
The Philvolcs expects no damage and aftershocks in the areas.
