MANILA, Philippines - The state weather bureau on Tuesday afternoon issued a rainfall advisory for areas in Cebu, including those hit by super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 1 p.m. advisory that moderate to occasional heavy rains is being experience in Camotes Island, Borbon, Tabuelan, Tabogon, Bogo, San Remegio, Medellin, Daanbantayan and Bantayan Island.
It said the the heavy rains may continue for one to two hours or until 3 p.m.
Daanbantayan and Bantayan Island were the hardest-hit areas in Cebu by super typhoon Yolanda, which left a trail of destruction in the Visayas.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has counted more than 5,000 deaths from the super typhoon while more than four million people were displaced.
