Couple slain in Sibugay ambush

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay , Philippines  â€“ Two motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead a businessman and his wife in Barangay Concepcion, Alicia town on Saturday.

Arthur Micubo, 48, and his wife Emma, 46, died on the spot from gunshot wounds, according to provincial police director Senior Superintendent Roy Bahian.

The victims were on a motorcycle going to the nearby Imelda town when they were ambushed in Sitio Gapol.  The suspects reportedly took the victims’ bag containing cash before fleeing.
