6 dead, 27 hurt as 2 buses collide

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – At least six people were killed and 27 others were injured when two passenger buses collided before dawn yesterday along the Andaya Highway in Del Gallego town, Camarines Sur.

Police identified the fatalities as Flordeliza Bronoso, 40; Paolo Bronoso, 12; Araceli Manaog; and Jane Tugabe, all passengers of a Bicol-bound Raymund bus; Ramoncito Martinez, 42, alternate driver of a JMC Tours bus; and Felicia Rodriguez, 7.

Superintendent Ramir Bausa, Camarines Sur police director, said no fatality came from typhoon-ravaged Tacloban City, and that no third bus was involved in the mishap.
