School worker hacks nun, teacher to death
BALANGA CITY, Philippines – A maintenance man of the Siena College branch in Hermosa, Bataan hacked to death a nun and a kindergarten teacher in a classroom on Friday morning, police said.
Drunk and wielding a 12-inch bolo, the suspect, Michell Dabu, 39, who has worked for the school since 2006, entered the classroom of teacher Anna Marie Ocampo, 29, with whom he was reportedly in love.
Ocampo tried to pacify Dabu, but he got enraged, and she shouted for help. Sister Ceferina Alvarez, 60, a school official, came to Ocampo’s rescue but Dabu cornered the two and attacked them.
Village officials and residents eventually arrested Dabu.
