Midwife nabbed in PDEA drug raid

MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents arrested a midwife during a drug raid in Imus City, Cavite province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Thursday.
The PDEA said that the suspect identified as Victoria Sabale, 57, is a member of the Sarno-Alindog Drug Group which operates in the province.
The agency said Sabale was arrested during a raid in her home at Crispulo Aguinaldo Street, Anabu Road, Barangay Anabu II-D in Imus City last November 5.The raid was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Alberto Serano of the Calamba City Regional Trial Court Branch 92.
Agents seized during the raid a total of 17 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.Drug charges are being prepared agaisnt Sabale, who is now detained at a PDEA detention facility.
