Fake PNP agent arrested in Mindoro
CALAPAN CITY , Philippines – A man posing as a confidential agent of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was arrested in an anti-drug operation launched by members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) here over the weekend.
Jayson Javora, 28, was included in the target list of the PDEA Regional Office 4-B, and has long been wanted for illegal drug trafficking in Oriental Mindoro, according to PDEA Regional Office 4-B chief Bryan Babang.
Javora was arrested after he allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay San Vicente North.
The arresting team found in the suspect’s possession two more sachets of shabu, a mobile phone and marked money used in the sting.
The suspect admitted he was carrying a fake PNP identification card indicating he was an agent of the Police Regional Office 10.
