SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union, Philippines – Twenty-one passengers were injured after their bus fell off a canal along the Naguilian-Baguio Road in Naguilian, La Union on Wednesday.
Bus driver Ferdinand Lozano Jr., 46, reportedly lost control of the wheel while negotiating a curve in the area. He surrendered to the authorities after the incident.
The injured passengers were brought to the Naguilian District Hospital for treatment.
Police said the bus operator promised to settle the victims’ claims.
