MANILA, Philippines - The national government has readied more than P100 million worth of relief goods for those who will be affected by Typhoon Santi, the government's disaster response agency said on Friday.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has set aside P105.87 million of emergency relief resources, including over P9.68 million standby funds for four regions.
The NDRRMC added that the DSWD has prepositioned emergency relief goods in Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Western Visayas.
The agency said that the relief goods consisted of 30,225 food packs worth P7.30 million.
It also said taht the DSWD has also earmarked P64.8 million worth of of non-food relief goods, such as clothing and medicines.
