Ex-Tarlac village chief shot dead

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A former barangay chairman was shot dead in front of his house in Victoria, Tarlac Wednesday night, police said.

In a report, Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpus, Tarlac police director, said the victim, Eduardo Cordoba, 54, former chief of Barangay Maluid, was entering his house together with a five-year-old granddaughter when he was shot thrice with a .45-caliber pistol in the back.
