Pampanga cops hope to solve massacre soon
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga , Philippines – A special police task group is conducting follow-up operations to be able to identify and arrest those behind the massacre of six household members in Barangay Telabastagan, City of San Fernando last Friday night.
“We hope that we could solve the case as soon as possible,†Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police director, said in a text message to The STAR.
Albayalde said the task group led by Superintendent Ricardo Pangan, deputy director for operations, is tracking down the killers whose getaway vehicle, a black Toyota Hi-Lux pick-up truck, was later recovered in Concepcion, Tarlac.
The pick-up truck is owned by Nicolas Edejer, 42, who survived the attack with serious wounds.
Killed were Corazon Salas-Edejer, 47; Kenneth Nolan Edejer, 19; Nelson Dominico, 17, a stay-in boy; a certain Kakay, 27, and Teresita Lansangan-Camiling, 40, both housemaids; and Benigno Villanueva Ingar Jr., 52. They were all shot in the head.
