37 vintage bombs excavated

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines â€“ At least 37 vintage bombs were dug up at the construction site of a feed mill company in Gerona, Tarlac, Thursday.

The bombs were found by construction workers digging at the Charden Pokphand Foods Philippine Corp. in Barangay Caturay, according to Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpus, Tarlac police provincial director.

Authorities expressed belief that the bombs were remnants of the World War II.

The explosives were turned over to the Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) in Tarlac City.
