3 killed in bus blast

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – A bomb exploded inside a bus, killing three people and wounding another late yesterday afternoon in a village, west of this city, officials said.

Police identifi ed one of the fatalities as Antonio Orquijo, a bus conductor, and a car wash boy. The wounded, a driver, was not immediately identified.

Initial investigation showed that the bomb exploded inside the La Virgen Milagrosa bus with body number 2871 at about 5:45 p.m in a garage in Barangay Labuan, 36 kilometers away from the city.

The conductor and the carboy were about to wash the bus when they noticed a suspicious bag that subsequently exploded.
