Occidental Mindoro mayor loses car to thieves in QC

MANILA, Philippines - Auto thieves have stolen a vehicle issued to an Occidental Mindoro mayor in Quezon City.

Reports said the Isuzu Sportivo (SKT-249) of Calintaan town mayor Lily Estoya was carted away by the car thieves between 10 p.m. of Wednesday and 4 a.m. of Thursday.
 
Quoting Estoya's son, Herbert, reports added that the vehicle was last seen on Wednesday parked in front of the rented apartment of the Estoyas along Halcon St., Brgy. Sta. Teresita, Quezon City.
 
Some tricycle drivers told  police investigators that they noticed the vehicle near the boundary of Quezon City and Manila, reports added.
 
Both the Quezon City Police District and Manila Police District have raised an alert for the government vehicle.
