Car theft ring leader falls in P’sinan

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M. FLORENDO, Philippinesm – Police arrested a suspected leader of a notorious car theft syndicate operating in Pangasinan in an operation in San Manuel town on Thursday. 

Randy Galamgam, 23, alias “Sammy,” of Barangay San Vicente, was reportedly the leader of the Galamgam Carnapping Group operating in the towns of Asingan and Sta. Maria, according to Chief Superintendent Ricardo Marquez, director of the Police Regional Office 1.

The suspect’s arrest was based on a warrant issued by Urdaneta City Judge Tita Obinario for charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

On Sept. 5, one of Galamgam’s cohorts identified as Romnick Delfin was arrested in San Felipe East, San Nicolas town for possession of a stolen Honda XRM RS motorcycle.

Marquez ordered police operations intensified to arrest the other members of the group.
