NBI probes Rizal massacre
MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has joined the investigation into the killing of a dentist, his wife and daughter in Morong, Rizal last month.
An NBI team headed by lawyer Renato Marcuap has coordinated with the Morong police to start its own probe of the killing of Dr. Edgar Dalope, his wife Maria Teresa, and 12-year-old daughter, Zynacynt.
Dalope was stabbed several times in his residence in Barangay San Juan, Morong town last Aug. 15. His wife’s body was found in the kitchen, bearing several stab wounds, while their daughter was drowned in a washing machine.
A part-time laundrywoman of the family reportedly saw two men wearing black ski masks dragging the girl inside the house.
Senior Superintendent Rolando Anduyan, Rizal police director, said they are now looking for the witness, as her testimony might lead them to the killers.
