Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A call center firm in Quezon City received a bomb threat via email, police said on Thursday.

Quezon City Police District director Senior Superintendent Richard Albano said an employee of the call center located at the 2nd floor of Mezza EGS along Aurora Boulevard, Cubao received the bomb threat through an email at around 2:20 a.m.

Albano said that according to the email's sender, a bomb is placed inside three shopping bags in the area.

A bomb disposal team was dispatched to the establishment and conducted clearing operations.

The policemen failed to locate any bomb.

"Apparently, it is just a hoax," Albano said.
