2 Abu men fall in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Two suspected members of the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf tagged in the series of kidnapping incidents were captured Friday by the Marine troops in Patikul town in Sulu, the military said yesterday.

Salih Madjam, alias Undag Dami, and his brother Kinang, alias Tinnam Dami, reportedly both under Abu Sayyaf sub-leader Juhurim Hussein, were arrested in Barangay Pansul.

Col. Jose Joriel Cenabre, commander of Joint Task Force Sulu and 2nd Marine Brigade, said the suspects were part of the group that ambushed military personnel providing security to peace and developmental initiatives in the villages of Buhanginan, Bunbun, and Panglayahan, all in Patikul.

He said seized from the suspects were a rifle and ammunition.
