Sea Air plane stuck on Kalibo Airport runway

MANILA, Philippines - The Kalibo Airport in Aklan province was closed after a Sea Air flight got stuck on the runway on Monday morning.

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport Media Affairs Division said that Sea Air A320 bound for Manila got stuck on the soft part or outside the pavement of the airport's runway.

As of this posting, the airplane was still disabled.

The airport's operations have been halted.

Inspectors from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines have been sent to the airport to investigate the incident.
