Manila police to go on full alert for anti-pork barrel protest

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Police District (MPD) will go on full alert on Saturday in anticipation of a protest action against the misuse of the pork barrel funds and corruption.

MPD director Chief Superintendent Isagani Genabe said on Friday that the full alert will be declared with a social media call to join the ""A Million People's March to Luneta” against the use of pork barrel.

Genade said around 400 policemen will be deployed to Rizal Park on Monday.

He said the full alert will be implemented at 1 p.m. Saturday until Tuesday.
