The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Lending aid to victims of Typhoon Labuyo in South and North Luzon is just a text away as Globe Telecom opens up its GCASH micro-payment service to accept donations for the relief operations of government and non-government organizations.

Globe has set up GCASH donation channels for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Red Cross (PRC), and Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB).

To help in the relief efforts, Globe subscribers can make donations to the organization of their choice by texting the following:

For DSWD: Text DONATE <space> AMOUNT <space> MPIN <space> DSWD send to 2882.

For PRC: Text DONATE <space> AMOUNT <space> MPIN <space> REDCROSS send to 2882.

For SLB: Text DONATE <space> AMOUNT <space> MPIN <space> SLB send to 2882.

SLB, through its E-Ugnay program online map application powered by Globe, provides real-time information and needed relief support in calamity-hit areas, allowing for the quick purchase, repacking and distribution of goods.
