SUBIC BAY Freeport, Philippines -  The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority SBMA  said  the P2-billion worth of shabu that was seized by authorities was not from witin the Subic Bay Freeport but  was seized in a Subic town.

On August 12,  authorities seized 400 kilos of high grade shabu from six suspects in Sta. Monica Subdivision in Subic, Zambales.

Several newspapers however reported the illegal drugs were  seized  inside the  Subic Bay Freeport or Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

The location of the seizure was made in Subic town which is part of the 13 municipalities of the province of Zambales.

The seizure of the P2-billion shabu according to SBMA Administrator Roberto Garcia was a success as operatives from the Anti-Narcotics group of the PNP and the  Enforcement Deparment of SBMA worked together throughout a five-month surveillance. - Anthony Bayarong
