Court of Appeals gets bomb threat
MANILA, Philippines - Tension gripped the Court of Appeals building in Manila after a woman warned of an impending bomb attack at the judicial office on Wednesday morning.
Senior Appellate Justice Remedio Salazar said in a radio interview that one of the court's personnel received the woman's call at around 9:30 a.m. The woman threatened that a bomb will go off somewhere in the court's main building.
Salazar said that they immediately informed their security guards, who in turn relayed the information to the Manila Police District.
The court's employees were immediately evacuated from their offices.
Police were still searching for the supposed bomb in the judicial building as of this posting.
