Clark holds job fair for Aetas, PWDs

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines – The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) held yesterday a job fair for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and Aetas at the Mimosa Convention Center here, the first since the firm was founded 20 years ago.

Rodem Perez, chief of the CDC customer services department, said 31 investors joined the fair where 300 jobs were expected to be made available for PWDs and Aetas.

CDC president and chief executive officer Arthur Tugade vowed to hold the job fair annually, as he called on the applicants to be patient.

Perez said most of the available jobs were either menial or in the field of information technology.

Commission on Elections Commissioner Grace Padaca, who was the guest of honor, said the affair was a rare opportunity for PWDs as she assured employers that these persons are more focused on their jobs.
