Police nab 4 fugitives in Luzon, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines - Police tracker teams arrested four fugitives in three regions in separate operations, the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said on Monday.
CIDG head Chief Superintendent Francisco Uyami said the arrests were made by operatives last July 4, 5 and 7 in Metro Manila, Central Luzon and Western Visayas.
Uyami said fugitive Ray Rios, wanted for murder in Quezon City was arrested last July 7 by authorities at slum area in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City. The Quezon Regional Trial Court issued Rios’s non-bailable arrest warrant.
On the same day, at Purok Licao-licao, Barangay San Isidro, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, a tracker team nabbed Paquito Salindayao. He has a standing warrant of arrest issued by the Malolos Regional Trial Court for murder with no bail recommended.
In Zambales, a warrant of arrest for attempted rape issued by an Olongapo City court against Venerando Paje, who was nabbed by operatives at Barangay Consuelo Norte, San Marcelino Zambales last July 5, 2013.
Paje was listed as the second most wanted person in Zambales, the CIDG said.
The CIDG also reported that on July 4, operatives also rrested Roberto Pabon at Lapaz, Iloilo City for attempted murder charge with bail recommended of P120,000.
