Heavy traffic in parts of 3 Metro Manila cities this weekend

MANILA, Philippines - Motorists should expect heavy traffic in some areas in the Mandaluyong, Quezon and Caloocan cities due to road reblocking works of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) this weekend, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Friday.

The MMDA said that the concrete reblocking works will start from 10 p.m. Friday (July 5) to 5 a.m. Monday (July 8).

The reblocking in Quezon City includes:

EDSA from Fema Road to Kaingin Footbridge (northbound, third lane)
EDSA from Kaingin Road to Dario Bridge 1 (southbound, third lane)
Commonwealth Avenue from North Susana to Luzon Avenue (southbound, third inner lane)

In Mandaluyong City:

EDSA from Boni Avenue to Mayon Street (southbound)

In Caloocan City:

EDSA from A. de Jesus U-turn slot before J. Mariano St. (southbound, third lane)
EDSA between G. de Jesus and Malvar Streets (northbound).
