MANILA, Philippines - Employees and visitors were ordered to clear the establishments at the University of the Philippines-Ayala Land Technohub in Quezon City at around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday when an IBM employee received a bomb threat.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Richard Albano said in a radio interview that an anonymous text message to an IBM assistant manager warned of an explosive to blow up buildings E, F and G at the hub at 7:00 p.m.
About 1,000 employees were directed to gather at the open area and cordoned off the buildings. Many were also not informed of the bomb threat as they were made to evacuate.
