NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – A grenade exploded at the frontyard of the municipal agriculturist of Mlang town Sunday night, less than 24 hours after an improvised explosive went off near a commercial establishment in Kabacan town.
No one was reported hurt in the blast at the house of municipal agricultural Federico Porras, but the incident forced his family and neighbors to flee, returning only after police declared the area cleared of any unexploded explosives.
Last Saturday night, an explosion ripped through a commercial district in Kabacan town, with the battery-operated bomb planted between two establishments.
