Police round up 4 fugitives in manhunt operations

MANILA, Philippines - Authorities have arrested four fugitives during separate operations by the Philippine National Police (PNP), an official reported on Tuesday.
Chief Superintendent Francisco Uyami, head of the PNP's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said the wanted persons were apprehended by tracker teams in Regions 1, 5, and 6 last June 22 and June 24.
Uyami said the campaign against the most wanted persons nationwide resulted to the arrests of Noel Ompoc, who is wanted for murder and frustrated murder in Masbate, arrested last June 24 at Barangay Mambog, Hermosa, Bataan.
Ompoc, who has a P90,000 bounty for his arrest ,was also listed as number 3 most wanted person in Bicol region.
In Zambales, a warrant of arrest for frustrated murder issued by RTC Judge Josefina Farrales paved the way for the arrest of Mario Dumulot at Barangay Cabatuan, Botolan, Zambales also last June 24. He was listed as the 8th most wanted person in Region 3.
Last June 22, police apprehended Felix Umandac of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, listed as number 4 in the list of most wanted persons in Region 7 by virtue of another warrant issued by a Cebu City court.
Umadac was arrested together with Cresencio Alison Jr. of Carcar, Cebu.
On the same day, Arlene Pante was also apprehended in Barangay Calabanga, Camarines Sur based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Pedro Redona with a bail of P80,000.
