MANILA, Philippines - The southwest monsoon continues to affect the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon.
Based on its 5 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) yesterday said Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Bicol region, Mimaropa (Mindoro Oriental, Mindoro Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), Western Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula, would have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Pagasa said the rest of the country woud be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
In other areas, the winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to southeast slight to moderate seas.
