Police seize sex drugs in Baclaran, Pasay

MANILA, Philippines - Police have confiscated an estimated P50,000 worth of unregistered medicines and sex-enhancing drugs in a raid on several drugstores in Parañaque and Pasay cities.

JOint teams from the police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) swooped down on Happiness Chinese Drugstore and Excel Chinese Drugstore, Century Chinese Drugstore and Baclaran Chine Drugstore all located in Paranaque City and Lactao Drugstore in Pasay City last June 7.

The CIDG will turn over the confiscated drugs to the National Capital Region-FDA for laboratory examination.

Authorities will file criminal and administrative cases against the owners, managers and pharmacists of the establishments for violation of the provision of Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009.
