Marijuana plantations in Ifugao raided

LA TRINIDAD,  Benguet  – At least P2-million worth  of marijuana  were burned  after Ifugao policemen raided three plantations in sitio Puwal, barangay Tulludan, Tinoc town in Ifugao Wednesday morning.

Policemen uprooted and burned 2,000 fully grown marijuana plants in a 500-square-meter plantation, another 6,000 marijuana plants in a 1,500-square-meter plantation and 2,400 more at a 600-square-meter plantation site.

The Dangerous Drugs Board estimated the destroyed  marijuana to be worth P2.08 million.

No cultivator was arrested  during the raid, said Cordillera police spokesperson Supt. Davy Limmong said. -  Artemio A. Dumlao
