Vacationer drowns in Quezon river

MANILA, Philippines - A vacationer died after drowning in a river in Quezon province Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Bernie Putulan Ragaza of Caloocan City, was last seen by his companions wading in knee-deep water in a river in Barangay Bignay 1, Sariaya at around 4 p.m. 
 
However, Ragaza's companions could no longer locate him when he went under the water, police added.
 
After 30 minutes of searching, the victim's friends found him and brought him to a hospital but doctors could no longer revive Ragaza.
